• Cantera is a volcanic stone imported from quarries in central Mexico. It is a soft stone, so the hand carving process is easy. The most popular colors are: Tabako (brown), Kafe 2 (light brown), Pinion (beige) and Chikle (light beige). Our customers prefer this kind of stone to design and order back yard fire pits or fireplace frames. • Limestone. is a sedimentary rock composed largely of the mineral calcite (calcium carbonate: CaCO3). Like most other sedimentary rocks, limestone is composed of grains. Most grains in limestone are skeletal fragments of marine organism such as coral. The most popular colors are: Tikul (orange), San Pablo (light beige), Konchuela (light beige) and Blanko Lima (white). This is the perfect stone to hand-carve fireplace frames inside the house; its smooth texture and elegance are the best choice to create a piece of art.
